9 Gatherer Alert Crab

My first entry for the Beasts of 9 contest. ^_^

These little guys scoot along the ground all over what's left of the Earth's cities and towns, in search of small items that can be used to create new creatures! They're very excitable little things; when they find objects, they emit shrill beeping and chirping sounds. They communicate other information, such as where they are and what they're encountering, with low grade static buzzing sounds, or transmissions to one another on low frequency radio waves. Hence the antenna!

When they find suitable objects, the gatherer alert crabs can do one of two things: They can either open their toy bubble body section and magnetically lift small objects into their body for carrying along, or if their found objects are a bit too large to do this, they can communicate their findings to another type of beast that has the ability to pick up the objects.

Because you know... not all the stuff that's left over on Earth is big stuff like car parts, machinery bits, broken tools, etc! There's little stuff around too, like what this guy is made of: A plastic toy machine bubble, a tin can key, a picture hanger, some small hardware and spools, a button, and some smaller parts from an electric screwdriver and a cordless phone. He's got a motor inside him that helps him run, and he's found bits of wire that he's gathered up inside his capsule body.
