Cardinal girl

Another illustration done for my Mom's calendar this year... I'm kinda ashamed of this one... meh. It just looks so incomplete, forced, stiff, lifeless... not good. The anatomy is off, don't get me started on the shading... just... meh. But then I remember that it was also the last fully digital drawing I did with my old Wacom tablet, and all the grief it was giving me as it was dying at that point, and so I feel I can give myself at least a little bit of slack... Those are supposed to be birch trees in the background. What, you couldn't tell? Thought she was standing in some kind of space ship? Yeah, me too...
