OC-Art-Xchange Rules:
*Artist/art recipient pairs will be chosen at random. You will only know who YOU are drawing for - not who is drawing for you.
* Any and all types of characters are allowed. Artists should be prepared for the possibility of drawing an anthro character, a human, a completely original creature, or who knows what!
*Members need not feel obligated to participate in every month’s exchange. A journal about the coming month’s trade will be posted toward the end of the current month. If you would like to participate, simply comment the journal. If not, no worries!
* Adult content is acceptable ONLY if the person you are drawing for has stated in their post details that it is okay with them. General deviantART rules apply of course, and no artist is required to draw adult content if they do not wish to do so, regardless of if it was requested by their recipient.
* Do the level of work for others that you would like to see done for you. A doodle on a napkin at a restaurant is cute and fun. Sketches on lined paper done in your math class or at work are great. But neither are really the quality of work we’re aiming for here.
* Following the month’s theme is not required. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of having your character drawn in the month’s theme. It’s really just put in place so that you have some inspiration for a character you may not otherwise know anything about.
* If you don't submit the month’s trade for it’s recipient, you will be barred from participation in any following months’ exchanges until you complete a drawing for the person you were assigned to draw for. It’s not fair to give and not receive, right?
* If you did not receive art for a given month, someone will be asked to draw for you in place of the person who was assigned to originally.
Joining OC-Art-Xchange:
If you’d like to join our crew, please send the group a join request with links to at least 3 commissions or trades you have completed as well as one original character.
This group is for original characters, so fan characters (i.e. a Pokemon, My Little Pony, etc.) are not participants in our exchanges. You will need to have at least one character that is entirely your own in order to join.
Our group does have some level of quality control, please don’t feel discouraged if you are not accepted! Thanks for considering us!

I have a question about the commission/trade limit: Do the commissions have to be still drawings, and of recurring characters? I've done a few animation commissions: One was a promo for a comic (featuring the commissioner's characters), one was just a silhouette for a group icon (no specific character, just a galloping horse), and the third is a music video (to be released) that featured characters I designed but were commissioned by someone else. I also illustrated a contest prize of someone else's character, but I don't think that counts as a trade-? Just a little clarification on that rule would be helpful.
